Suntour BMX freewheel (probably 16 teeth) is threaded on Speicalized mountain bike rear hub with sold axle (circa early 80's).
The Bruce Gordon rack is made of steel tubings, not aluminum. The split downtube makes the bike really rigid. The bottom bracket does not flex like a lot of bikes from this era. Combined with race wheels, it's a very fast bike inspite of its appearance.

I laced up a brand new Mavic MA40 for this special bike.
I had only one offset brake bolt, so the rear got this handiwork. I wish I had bought more of the offset brake bolts I used for the front. They are really expensive now..
